ACEスコア。虐待・ネグレクト・家庭機能不全などを10項目で数える指標。数が多いほど、後年の心身や対人面への影響が出やすいとされる。海馬瀬人の設定を当てはめると、推定およそ5前後。決して低くない値である。
スコアが高い場合に散見される傾向を社長に重ねて並べてみた。

The ACE score (Adverse Childhood Experiences) is a measure that counts ten categories of childhood adversity — abuse, neglect, household dysfunction, and the like. The higher the count, the more likely the effects tend to surface later in life, across body, mind, and relationships.Mapping Kaiba Seto's canon onto it yields an estimate of roughly 5. By no means a low figure.

オカルト嫌い、超常的なものを断じて認めない、といった態度は、この延長線上とも言える。

Findings
If we assume high ACE × high IQ × ASD tendencies, there's a sense that one extra layer of intellect slips into the stack of defense mechanisms.That is: he denies the emotion, and then reasons it into a locked box with his intellect — a two-stage structure.
His dislike of the occult, his flat refusal to acknowledge the supernatural, can be read along the same line.

アテムが「例外」になった理由

Why Atem Became the "Exception"
Regarding that "strong fixation on the exceptional individual" above — why, then, could Atem qualify as the exception? Here are the possible factors.He treats him as an equal

He doesn't step over the lines the man has drawn

That said, the man himself would surely deny all of it — and there's likely still room to keep thinking.
